Dozens of students from the Lorain County Joint Vocational School were returning from a local trip when one bus apparently rear-ended the other Thursday in Oberlin. The reason for the collision wasn’t immediately clear.

The students who were not sent to hospitals were evaluated at a nearby fire station and later taken back to school.

A school spokeswoman told The Chronicle-Telegram in Elyria the students had been on their way back from a competition at Lorain High School.
