The Plain Dealer reported bad weather had slowed reconstruction along Interstate 90.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Transportation told the newspaper the concrete barriers remained while workers waited to paint lane markings.

A 10-mile stretch of I-90 eastbound was closed Tuesday after dozens of vehicles collided during snow squalls east of Cleveland.

A state trooper told the newspaper the barriers gave drivers little room to maneuver as they tried to avoid cars that had either stopped or crashed in front of them.
