Obama planning trip to Cleveland

President Barack Obama plans a trip to Cleveland Thursday to discuss the economy and American manufacturing.
Associated Press
Nov 12, 2013

The White House said details of the trip to the sprawling ArcelorMittal steel plant in Cleveland will be announced later.

The Luxembourg-based company posted a thirdquarter net loss of $193 million last week. That was smaller than the loss of $642 million in the same period a year ago.

ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steelmaker, said its quarterly loss shrank as it cut costs.

BDupler

Anyone tell him that the election was last year? Stay in D.C. and fix the mess!!!

The Big Dog's back

What mess? Oh yeah, the right wingnut mess.

bondgirlM

Yes Syria, Benghazi, IRS,and Obamacare are ALL right wingnut messes.... ROFL!!!!

coasterfan

Apparently, you didn't get the memo. Obama resolved the Syria mess without getting us into another unnecessary war, like his predecessor. Hooray for diplomacy!

bondgirlM

Nothing was resolved and he didn't keep us from war he realized how stupid the suggestion was when not one of our allies would go in with him. Again it gave us gave view of Obama with egg on his face.

Stop It

Amen.

shucks

nonsense

Pterocarya frax...

Thanks for the explanation bondgirl. Now I know how Drudge wrote it up.

grumpy

Actually Drudge only rarely writes anything up, usually less than once a year or so. He simply links news sources to his own web site, he is an aggregator, not a writer. Not even remotely the same thing.

Re: "Obama resolved the Syria mess without getting us into another unnecessary war,"

More like Pres. Putin gave him a way to save face.

The Saudis didn't want the pipeline built. Pres. Obama is a GOOD puppet.

mikesee

Hey coasterbluff it is funny that your hero has arranged the sale of weapons to the Syrian rebels. That really helps!

8ballinthesidepocket

Your brain must be the size of a dog's. Oh yeah, I forgot, six years later it is still Bush's fault.

BDupler

Right or Left it is our mess. We can point fingers at mean-nothing titles all we want, the mess is ours and as our leader, his. Our leaders can do much more good in D.C. than they can going city to city trying to explain why they are good and the other guys are bad.

The Big Dog's back

You don't get it. President Obama won re-election. He should be allowed to have his agenda. If after that the people disagree, they can vote Repub in the next election. Right now the right needs to quit playing games.

MrSandusky

Did the left do that from 2000 to 2008? BDupler is correct, we need to quit with this right vs left crap. It only leads to more of what we already have, a mess.

getit right be4...

That has to be the dumbest statement that I have read in a long time. Because he won a re-election he should be allowed to have his agenda?

So kasich won his election so he should be able to have his agenda?

Huron_1969

Funny how the far left socialist and far right tea party folks make the most noise and get the most coverage, but are the minority. The great political divide will not end until the majority, who are moderates, find their voice and take a stand

Pterocarya frax...

Ummm...Kasich does have his own agenda.

SamAdams

I guess that means that, effective immediately, you'll stop criticizing George W. Bush. I mean, he was elected, right? Twice, in fact. And he probably had an agenda of his own, yes? Too bad about those Dems who kept trying to interfere with it...they should've let him do his thing without objection or criticism, at least until the next election, don't you think?

The Big Dog's back

bush did everything he wanted to do.

Pete

And because he had won two elections you were more than happy to support him correct?

Darwin's choice

Well, finally, after his "world" apology tour, he's coming to the United States.

Dog,you really have to stop licking your Obama, he is NOT allowed "HIS" agenda!! He's gotten us so far down the drain, it'll take Sarah Palin to save us!

coasterfan

Wow, do you actually believe the things you say? America was already DOWN the drain before Obama took office. Since he took office, the Recession ended, unemployment is down, and the deficit is down. Until you are able to agree with the above facts, the recent history that we all lived through, I'm sorry, you're not allowed to sit at the Big People Table and take part in the Big People discussion.

Is Obama perfect? Far from it, but he has accomplished far more than his predecessor, and hurt America far less than his predecessor.

Huron_1969

As much as Bush was a screw-up, Obama has compounded the nations problems. Btw, the recession is not over, unemployment is not down, nor is the deficit. The fed gov't is good at skewing the numbers to tell whatever story they wish to tell

bondgirlM

Yeah yeah yeah we know all the left can do is point the blame finger. We all know Obama has made everything better. After all he is the messiah as we watch his poll number like a rock. ROFL!

bondgirlM

It's Bush's fault! Doesn't the left ever get sick of that old worn out tune? After all Obama has been at the helm for over 5 years now.

bondgirlM

Liberals just don't get it.

Darwin's choice

Coasterfan, stop drinking from big dogs urinal, you're both polluted.

Good to see you man up to the failures of Obama finally!!

Please list all these "accomplishments" by Obama? Here, I'll do it for you:_____________________________________________________________________There you go! And all in order!

Re: "America was already DOWN the drain before Obama took office"

Kinda like RR after the disasterous Carter Admin. eh?

mikesee

Coasterbluff, why are you such a dumba$$? I have repeatedly showed you deficit numbers from Bushs last day in office through now and you continue to say that your hero has reduced the deficit. You are WRONG. You are no longer allowed to sit at the big people table!

Contango

Re: "continue to say that your hero has reduced the deficit."

The Obamabots also credit him with sunrises and tides.

Thank (in part) the Sequester cuts for the deficit reduction which he and the Dems want re-instated.

Meanwhile, the DEBT at $17T continues to rise.

grumpy

But, but obama DID cut the Deficit in half... After he tripled the Deficit... leaving it STILL 50% higher than bush's last budget and actual spending. Course the projected Deficit for 2014 is for the Deficit to go up... again. Obama has had 5 of the 6 highest Deficits in the history of the world... not just the US. This is how he tries to hide it. What do you expect from a public school teacher? Obama's lowest Deficit is 50% higher than Bush's highest Deficit... and obama's Deficit projection for next year is to go up... a couple hundred billion. Coaster just tries to manipulate the stats to show his hero in a positive light. You notice he doesn't even try to refute that Obama increased the Deficit more than any other President before or any of the other stats I have noted. Ain't math fun?

Contango

Re: "What do you expect from a public school teacher?"

And though repeatedly asked, he's never stated WHAT he taught.

For two: It most definitely wasn't Math or History.

And meanwhile according to him, his spouse (with her OH taxpayer guaranteed health coverage) is STILL out there infecting the children with Progressive rubbish.

Darwin -

What political party do you belong to ?

If there was a presidential election today , who would you vote for ?
Who would you choose right now to take over Obama?

Show your colors or shut up..

Darwin's choice

In the words of the hillbillary, "what difference does it make"?
If you can't see that I resent the current administration's constant failure's, that obviously you're ok with, then I see you as the fool.

I've already told you, you would be a better choice than the current "leader".
I would vote for Ben Ghazzi.

Your color has already shown through.....

shucks

Darwin's choice ... you are a cowardly little troll.

Darwin's choice

Not hardly. I'll call your pansy bluff anytime. Can't refute facts shown to you, so start name calling. Typical. Prove any of the comments/facts stated are wrong! You lose! Shooting off your mouth here shows your "color". Better stick with big dog and coasterfan lady, you're out of your league.

shucks

You want to meet me some place? Is that what you want?

You are a real fool.

Hardly.

Here's some thing for you to ponder....

Good to see that Pres. Obama is traveling to visit a foreign owned business.

Maybe he should travel to Hannibal, OH and visit a bankrupt American owned plant where 670 workers are about to lose their jobs and tell 'em how great the economy is.

http://online.wsj.com/news/artic...

Or maybe he should take a side trip to Norwalk and Janesville Acoustics and tell the 300 workers that are about to lose their jobs what a fantastic job he's doin'?

http://www.norwalkreflector.com/...

The suckers in OH re-elected him in '12 and he got what he wanted.

And now like Rev. Wright and others that he's thrown under the bus, he's done with ya.

Pres. Obama, Nov. 12, 2013:

"Our markets have hit record highs and there’s no doubt our financial system is more stable."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-pr...

Pres. Obama STUPIDLY equates a rising stock market to a healthier economy.

Meanwhile, a former Fed. official apologizes:

"I can only say: I'm sorry, America. As a former Federal Reserve official, I was responsible for executing the centerpiece program of the Fed's first plunge into the bond-buying experiment known as quantitative easing.

The central bank continues to spin QE as a tool for helping Main Street. But I've come to recognize the program for what it really is: the greatest backdoor Wall Street bailout of all time."

http://online.wsj.com/news/artic...

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/20...

Without the Fed Resv. and their ZIRP and QE policies, this economy would be flat on it's back.

Pres. Obama continues to do what he does best: campaign, glad hand and spew happy talk to his supporters.

All the while remaining CLUELESS.

The Big Dog's back

So pooh, when did we have a good economy and why?

SamAdams

Let me get this straight...

Unemployment numbers as REPORTED aren't fantastic, but the reality is far, far worse since all of those who can't find a job aren't reported after they've given up and/or exhausted their unemployment. The "official" numbers ALSO don't count those who've lost hours or who are employed in dramatically lower income positions out of desperation.

The deficit "reductions" aren't, and the amount we owe has skyrocketed. Expenditures under Obama DWARF those of all previous administrations, including that of George W. Bush who can't exactly be called "thrifty."

The numbers of those dependent on one entitlement program or another are higher than they've ever been, giving lie to the notion that any recession is over or even in remotely significant recovery.

And Obama tells obvious falsehoods that make Richard Nixon look like Honest Abe!

Yeah, greatest president ever! Of course, that depends entirely on defining "greatest" as "worst," and "success" as "abject failure."

Let's be realistic, here. I (or YOU) would be a better president than this one! That's not because either of us know everything, but because most of us are smart enough to know that we DON'T! This president's arrogance, when combined with his stunning ignorance on such topics as economics, foreign policy, and yes, even the Constitution, are a recipe for an ongoing disaster. Sure, the Titanic is sinking pretty slowly. But it IS sinking, and this administration can't even be bothered to rearrange the deck chairs!

@ SA:

Some use the (U-6) "underutilization" number as the TRUE unemployment rate, currently at 13.8%:

Another good one is the U.S. Labor Force Participation rate, currently at under 35 yr. lows.

The Big Dog's back

Same question for you sam.

SamAdams

Question? What question? I made several statements of fact. If you have some question about those statements, or some other question you think I should answer, please kindly ask it.

Re: Obama care: Why do I as a single man need to pay for maternity coverage? I am a non smoker, but now I have to pick up the tab for smokers who, despite warning after warning, have developed lung cancer. Tell me, why should I pay for them? My premiums went up by 42%. What a joke/

SamAdams

Oh, silly 8ball, you don't get it, do you? You have to pay for maternity coverage so that all of those women out there who can't afford to have insurance let alone have babies can have babies!

Right now, my estimated premium costs are more than my mortgage. But that's only because it's my DUTY to pay for that free birth control I don't need so that those who don't even pay their own rent let alone a mortgage can enjoy themselves on my dime!

I can't imagine why EITHER of us would resent that, can YOU?

KURTje

Lets all be happy social security got an increase.

Darwin's choice

And Obama is trying to unring the bell yet again!!!! Lol!

Failure in Chief!!

Go democrats..Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

I'll delay this until after the 2014 elections, so we maybe won't get our azzes handed to us......

History making President!!!! Impeach him!!
