Driver flown to hospital after U.S. 20 crash

An injured driver was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after losing control and crashing on U.S. 20 Friday morning.

Information about the driver’s identity was not available Friday afternoon, a dispatcher from the Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle struck a tree, and the driver was unresponsive when troopers arrived at the 11:02 a.m. call.

The driver was removed from the vehicle and flown to the Toledo hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
