Donor to match cash contributions to food pantry

Any donations made at Bellevue Fish and Loaves Food Pantry on Wednesdays will be worth more, up until late April.

Bellevue Fish and Loaves kicked off its Feinstein Challenge, in which Allan Shawn Feinstein will match dollar-for-dollar — and can-for-dollar — all items donated.

Area residents can donate money or non-perishable food to Fish and Loaves from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Wednesday.

Drop your donation off on Wednesdays at Bellevue Fish and Loaves, 203 Maple St., Bellevue.

Fish and Loaves aims to raise $5,000 through the program, which benefits families and children.

In January, Fish and Loaves’ emergency food pantry served 952 households. About 672 of those homes have children. Fish and Loaves served 4,610 households last year, helping a total of 13,224 people.
