UPDATE 12:59 p.m. — Visiting Judge Dale Crawford and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine shared the details of the grand jury findings during a one-hour press conference Wednesday morning.

Crawford said the grand jury inquiry found 19-year-old Jacob Limberios accidentally shot himself in the head on March 2, 2012, and the jury elected not to consider criminal charges against anyone.

DeWine detailed the investigation by his office, including obtaining opinions from two independent forensic pathologists that found Limberios was shot on the right side of his head, shown by beveling revealed in the multiple autopsies conducted on the body. Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation scientists also conducted tests on the gun that showed 30 percent of the time, it could be fired without the trigger being pulled.

No criminal charges will be filed in the case.

The civil lawsuit the family filed against Sandusky County coroner John Wukie will move forward, as Jacob's parents work to have the ruling on his death certificate changed from suicide to accident.

It's pretty funny that it's STILL in Sandusky County. Should be in Toledo or something with a more level playing field

Seen it All

Exactly. They would be hard pressed to find anyone in the area who hasn't heard about it, and formed an opinion as well. Prayers for Jake's family and friends, as no matter the outcome, it is sure to be a heart breaking day.

Google is paying 75$/hour! Just work for few hours & spend more time with friends and family. On sunday I bought themselves a Alfa Romeo from having made $5637 this month. its the best-job Ive ever had.It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it out http://goo.gl/f6e95V

I have said that all along. If anyone is charged the first thing I would do if I was their lawyer is request a different venue.

We can only hope and pray that justice can prevail and an end can be put to this and the truth will come out

The bci investigators say he was shot right to left with a downward direction I'm far from a forensics siencetist but how the heck did the bullet end up in the ceiling? I see he must have been standing on his head total bs

jamme_jams

This was addressed in the AG's report:

"To account for the bullet entering the ceiling, Jake would have likely needed to have his head tilted to the side, toward the muzzle of the gun, regardless of which side the bullet entered. If Jake was taking a reactionary, defensive posture because someone else was pointing the gun at him, generally speaking, his head would have been angled away from the gun, not toward it. However, if Jake were scratching his head with the muzzle of the gun, as two of the witnesses stated in various interviews, he likely would be tilting his head down, toward the muzzle, aligning with the trajectory, the positioning, the path of the bullet through his head, the witness statements, the physical evidence, and the majority of forensic pathology reports."

When they mentioned the bullet being shot in a downward direction, they were referring to the trajectory in reference to the anatomy of the head, not "toward the sky" vs. "toward the ground." The bullet entered closer to the top of his head than where it exited.

That's where some sort of visual diagram would have come in handy.

starryeyes83

Just heard News Channel 13.. Accidental Self inflicted.

NOT homicide.

Let this drop now.

Whopper2013

Exactly...but we all know that won't happen.

You both aren't being forced to read the articles or to follow it

starryeyes83

Got tired of seeing it everyday on the front page of my hard copy. One hundred articles is overkill, but it sold papers and just like TV ratings the the bottom line is the almighty $$$.

The ruling is what I've been saying from the get go. Dr. Phil did them no favors and it didn't pan out for anyone; to put that much information out there in the national spotlight during an ongoing investigation.

Of course, now I'm sure the AG's office will NOW be accused of being corrupt, or some other conspiracy theory.

LabMan

17% of these comments on here by you is overkill as well! Heed your own advise and move on.

starryeyes83

Don't like it, Lab man, too bad. No one forced you to read it. And I'm not on every single one of these threads like some people.

Whopper2013

No, we aren't being forced to read them but we were forced to fund this "wild goose chase" because it was paid for with OUR tax money-so the sooner they let their son rest in peace, the sooner our tax money can but put into something that might actually accomplish something

sandtown born a...

You know what they say about opinions?

starryeyes83

As with yours.

Brick Hamland

Right... now spend tax dollars on Curtis Clinton's appeal

starryeyes83

This was NO homicide!! It was proven. The family "knows" that - the blonde woman said so on camera.

Get over it!! The kid shouldn't have been playing with a Loaded weapon to his head and drinking while taking MEDS!!

Big difference when a guy RAPES and kills a 3 year old, and a baby, and rapes and kills their mother.

TWO very different issues!!

Whopper2013

Pretty sure that @Brick Hamland was being sarcastic-or at least I hope so.

starryeyes83

Really? I hope so but , I didn't take it that way.

My favorite part is how he covers the tail of Sandusky county officials I guess they are on the same side

starryeyes83

This ain't CSI set in the booming metropolis of Las Vegas. It's a small rural county, that doesn't have those big a$$ tax dollars to spend.
