Family and friends of Jacob Limberios have created a time clock at the "Justice for Jake & Ella" Facebook page marking the time since the 19-year-old was killed.

Click here to see the clock.

Brady Gasser, Christine Wiedle and Lonnie Seisel — friends of the family who have spearheaded a social media campaign that includes signs posted across the region — are the guests at noon today on "Between the Lines Live" at sanduskyregister.com. Viewers are encouraged to ask question in the interactive chatroom while the program happens.

The Limberios family and supporters created the Facebook page and signs campaign last year after waiting months for Sandusky County officials to complete multiple investigations. Jacob Limberios was killed inside a York Township home March 2, 2012. The last local lead investigator, Sandusky County sheriff's captain detective Sean O'Connell, and other local officials, made conflicting statements about the investigation and never issued a final report.

Dr. Cyril Wecht, a forensic pathologist who has been involved in numerous high-profile cases, conducted an autopsy in September 2012, and determined Jacob was the victim of a homicide. Sandusky County officials ignored Wecht's findings and ordered a second exhumation of Jacob's body and a second autopsy in May of this year.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine took over the case in June after a judge removed local officials, citing conflicts of interest they had ignored.

DeWine promised a thorough investigation and the family has said they are hopeful he is pushing forward and will get them answers. DeWine recently engaged the services of Dr. Michael Baden, a former medical examiner for the city of New York who also has been involved in numerous high-profile celebrity death cases, to review the case.

So how did you expect the investigation to have been conducted? And please don't quote CSI Miami.

Have no connection at all. This whole thing sounds like a bunch of friends hanging out. One ends up dead. Sorry..... someone had that gun in their hand, and it was not Jake!!!!

FireFly

It's terrible. This whole situation.
Underage drinking + guns = bad news
Happens too often.

How confident are people in the Office of the Attorney General to conduct an investigation into alleged official misconduct by area law enforcement and coroners offices? That's really the heart of the matter in this case and many other cases. For example the office appears to have ignored official misconduct in the Bryan Jones case and other cases.

Has any thought been given to contacting the Criminal Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice in DC for a pattern and practice
investigation and criminal civil rights charges in view of this case and the many other cases involving suspect cause of death findings and botched death investigations by area law enforcment?

It was the Criminal Civil Rights division that prosecuted the Lucas County Sheriffs Office after the Lucas County Coroner botched the initial death finding in a jail inmate death case.

There appears to be critical mass to request at least a review (especially if one includes the three other cases mentioned in earlier post) and to ask Congresswoman Kaptur to assist with that process.

Simple Enough II

Please Bryon Jones was a train wreck happening and you can also hold himself and his family responsible.

Agreed.

Why so dismissive of human life? Storming a house under the circumstances in the Bryan Jones case is not good police practice.

Furthermore, how do you account for the three cases reported by the Register and the additional three cases listed in my first comment? That's six cases wherein the Lucas County Coroner's office allegedly slanted autopsy reports to protect LE misconduct in drug or sex crime related homicides.

Truth or Dare

That's right, drinking and guns isn't just a bad combination, it should earn you a charge for having a weapon under disability. Who provided the alcohol? Whose property was it? Top that off with the fact they are/were underage at the time of the incident and it just multiplies the dangers! I also find it rather convenient that if they were drinking whilst handling that gun, LE made no attempt to test them for alcohol consumption! Anyone commenting here needs to take the time to review all information that has been provided, and that includes the recorded interviews with 2 of the 3 witnesses. Why wasn't the 3rd. witness interviewed and recorded?

Not a Coroner or Medical Examiner, but I would think Accidental Gunshot something would be the cause of death, not suicide! Of course how would the SC Coroner know, he didn't even have the decency to show up at the scene and made his call over the phone and according to what he was told by LE. Important evidence was allowed to be destroyed, there was NO INVESTIGATION and the County refused the family's request for an autopsy.......and here we are JUSTICE DENIED!

After watching Between the Lines and hearing the recap of all the incidents w/SC LE, supported by BS causes of death provided by the SC Coroner's office over the last what, decade, if that isn't enough to give you the willies, nothing will! It's pretty clear they could give a rat's arse about anyone else, except for covering their own! That is as clear as this is beyond being wrong! That's what we're seeing here, SC doing their utmost best to cover their own arses.

Been saying this for awhile now, ever since watching Frontline's documentary; Post Mortum. Anyone commenting here should really take an hour out of their day to view it. It'll turn the light onto what's happening all across this country. So to think it can't happen in our little neck of the woods, think again! There are thousands across this country that are going through the same thing as the Limberios family and Friends.

I work in SC at a place where many from all over Ohio and other states come to spend time. They've been asking about the signs they're seeing. When they're given an explanation they can't believe what they're hearing, and these are professional people from all walks of life, from doctors to lawyers, to LE and the judicial system, business owners, etc.. Their first thought, CONFLICT OF INTEREST along with dereliction of duty on behalf of all of SC officials! By the way, anyone that would pay a former employee $5K to never make disparaging remarks against them, well, isn't that rather immoral, unethical and illegal? Must of offered and asked for a very good reason, eh? Here is what I want to know, was that his own $$$$, or was that Taxpayer $$$$'s? Way I see it, it's way past the time for reform when it comes to the elected, political positions of Coroners!

Thoughts and prayers for strength and perserverance remain with not only the Limberios family and friends, but the others throughout SC that are standing up to and fighting such political beasts!

Have you ever heard of arbitration? Do you know the cost for arbitration? Not cheap and there might have been the slight chance the idiot could have been reinstated by the arbitrator, crazier decisions have come out of arbitration.

At first, when hearing about this case, I thought the family wanted answers about what happened to their son. I thought they wanted to know if he really killed himself or if someone else killed him accidentally? Now I don't know what they want. I didn't get to watch BTL. What is it that they seek? What justice do they want? I am so sorry that their son is dead and their granddaughter lost her father, but all this isn't going to bring him back. Their is no justice here if you really look at it. What justice do they seek?

If they think he was murdered, then speak it plainly and say so. Then perhaps the AG and his people have something to go on. I am sure any first year law student could find out that the County people bungled the investigation. Anyone with half a brain could see that just looking at the evidence. But what justice do they seek?

If Jake was murdered, then speak it outloud and say it. This is just too much. Everywhere you go, you see the signs of "Justice for Jake and Ella" but what "Justice" is it that everyone wants? Please tell me it isn't just to find that the idiots who first investigated were wrong....we already know that. What justice do they seek?

Detrain

Gramafun they are seeking the truth about what happened to there son not accidently suicide. They want to know if he was murdered or not. Ag has something to go on. If it was your son what justice would you want.the family does want answers. There is justice here to find out the truth what happened to there son. Well said truth or dare. Some people on hear make me sick with there comments like they are on Sandusky county side or part of the good ole boys club.

gramafun

@detrain...thank you for the answers. Of course, if it were one of my children, I would want to know what happened. I really had not been keeping up with all of this and did not know what has been going on with all this, thus the question. I understand there had been some questions about some "coverup" but was not sure what that was all about. I did some checking into that and read some other SR paperwork in this. WOW is all I can say. I now understand a little more than before. I hope for the sake of the parents they get some answers. What I do not get is if someone other than their son fired the fatal shots, why they just didn't come forward and admit their wrong doing by now. That type of secret will eat you from the inside out and eventually kill you. It isn't something you can live with all your life. It will never let you be. No way.

Detrain

Gramafun you are right probably eating one of them up big time. There us is so much infomation that a lot of people do not know about cause they do not know where to go for the info. Thats why i try and pass it out to the public.

Stop It

It WASN'T murder. It more than likely was an accidental homicide. Go here to get every single story and ALL available info that all of you above seem clueless about.

I agree it does not appear to be murder. However, if there was sufficient recklessness, then the "accidental homicide" may be a criminal offense such as manslaughter a felony of the first degree.

Certainly under-aged drinking with a loaded gun is extremely reckless behavior. If unlawful drugs were involved as well then there's additional bases for criminal charges.

If any activity was a felony and the death occurred as a result of that felony (such as drug possession or trafficking) then under the felony murder rule the death could be murder.

The truth from a thorough investigation might be more than what some people want to know.
