New results same as old ones: Accidental suicide

Autopsy report released to newspaper

May 23, 2013

The second autopsy confirms the initial conclusion by Sandusky County sheriff's deputies: Jacob Limberios killed himself but it might have been accidental.

Deputies reached that conclusion within just hours from when Jacob Limberios was killed on March 2, 2012, by a gunshot to the head.

Sandusky County coroner John Wukie used that finding in his death ruling despite never having examined the body, visiting the home where Jacob was killed or reviewing information with witnesses.

The Fremont News-Messenger reported Wednesday that the autopsy conducted by deputy Lucas County coroner Cynthia Beisser found deputies were correct in that original conclusion immediately after Jacob was killed (Click for article), but they were wrong about which hand Jake was using to shoot the gun.

Evidence was destroyed during the initial investigation, according to the Limberios family, and deputies failed to follow basic procedures or meet professional standards of criminal investigation.

Beisser performed her autopsy May 2, six months after Pittsburgh pathologist Cyril Wecht conducted an autopsy on behalf of the family after the county previously refused to order one. Wecht's autopsy found Jacob to have been the victim of a homicide.

The Register will post Beisser's autopsy report at the news website when officials respond to the request.

Kelly is my name and disagreeing is not trolling.

With your reasoning it stands that Dr Wecht just fabricated his findings because he was getting paid by the family.

There are many roadblocks in this case now. Most significant is that 2 coroner reports are very similar.

Impartial maybe but correct it is not! With a .357 gun shot powder residue and powder Burns would be present all over the boys skull if he had shot himself or been shot from a distance of 2 feet or less. Not once has any medical report confirmed the presence of any GSR on him. I highly doubt that since an autopsy wasn't performed before the first burial that Jacobs hands were not swabbed to determine if there was GSR present on his hands to confirm or disprove he recently fired a firearm! That should have been the first thing done by the coronerbut wait he ddidn't respond to the scene to examine the body view it's placement blood spatter patterns or any other evidence to prove whether this was a homicide or suicide. Even if he committed suicide there is clearly dereliction of duty present and the investigation was botched by either lazy incompetent personnel.

Simple Enough II

They had been firing that pistol earlier that evening, there would have been GSR....and also on the hands of those there who also fired it.

so.....

You're right. But it wouldnt be on his head.which is what needed to prove/disprove and they didn't because no autopsy was done.

starryeyes83

Longer than average arms, perhaps? or Greater flexibility?

Natural variables are possible.

deertracker

Accident or suicide? It really can't be both.

mrite

Deertracker, as much as it pains both you and I must agree with your statement.

deertracker

No pain here!

Kelly

Maybe accidental self-inflicted gunshot?

starryeyes83

Kelly, That's the smartest thing I've read , yet. And more than likely true.

Krissy3

Suicide requires intent... Look it up. It's either an accident or its a suicide, not both.

starryeyes83

What about Russian Roulette? Sometimes they don't intend to do it for real but want to play act and take a stupid chance and pull the trigger, and if they are really drunk or high ... that would classify as accidental self- inflicted .... when it comes right down to it. It's really a matter of splitting hairs here. Really no sense in keep harping on it .

They can't bring the boy back, so SR it's really time to put this story to bed once and for all. There's nothing more to be gained by stirring the pot and just where are the "masked idiots " at - who hack into the federal websites that you've been showcasing?

The BURDEN of proof is on the family.

Krissy3

Russian roulette is not a suicide as an overdose is not a suicide. It is an accidental death.

starryeyes83

Bull! Are you saying people don't od on purpose ? Pull your head outta your arse.

so.....

people do od on purpose. they also od by accident, anna nicloe or jimi hendrix. its not called accidental suicide, its called accidental overdose. meaning unintentional. either you misunderstood her post or she didnt convey properly. i knew what she meant.

starryeyes83

Her post stated *** as an overdose is not a suicide *** I read it exactly as she typed it...

MAYBE SHE should have clarified!

starryeyes83

She said "self-inflicted".

so.....

Then SAY THAT! not suicide. ...

Simple Enough II

And why couldn't it be?

so.....

Read my comment below yours..too much to retype ..lol

so.....

Suicide is the intentional act of taking ones own life. An accident is UNintentional act that happens. How can these 2words be used together??? Regardless of who paid for what common sense tells us they cannot. Has to be one or the other.

starryeyes83

@ so....

We don't know -- WHY don't you jump on the ones who put it in the newspaper and ASK them why they worded it that way?

Okay?

so.....

Its worded this way because that's that's how the death certificate reads. As for my CAPITALS... I'mTRYING to make a POINT. Therefore I USE them. Just as I've seen YOU do previously on here. ;)

starryeyes83

Gotcha... now we gotta jump on the ones who wrote it on the d.c. like that. I think it's a case of trying being politically correct or whatever the life insurance company will allow for the claim to go through.

Just a thought.

so.....

And that's what the family and justice for jake are trying to do. They just want the truth. And the truth is this wasn't suicide so it shouldn't say that on an official document. Accidental (bogus) or not.

Krissy3

The one who wrote it on the dc like that is the coroner. The life insurance policy didn't pay out anyway and I highly doubt the coroner was concerned with the family's finances when he didn't even concern himself with their request for an autopsy.

The Big Dog's back

There are only 2 people who know what really happened that day and 1 of them is dead.
