A missing $3,000 ring is being investigated by the Ottawa County sheriff's office.

A man contacted sheriff's deputies Thursday and said the ring has been missing for about a week, a deputy's report said.

Employees said it might have gotten lost in the laundry, the report said, but the man contacted deputies after he had not heard anything back.

Osterman Jewelers estimated the ring to be worth $3,250.

It is described the company as a golf diamond dinner ring containing 0.3 carat, 0.33 carat and 0.37 carat round brilliant cut diamonds.
