Man assaults pregnant girlfriend

Allegedly knees her between legs, throws her to ground after he tells her to pay for his child support.
Jul 27, 2014

Warrants have been issued for a Sandusky man who allegedly kneed his pregnant girlfriend between the legs and knocked her to the floor..

Shane Rhuda, 36, of the 200 block of Shelby St., will be served with domestic violence and assault charges once Sandusky police officers locate him.

The woman filed a complaint at the police station Friday at about 3 p.m., saying her and Rhuda had taken out a $1,000 loan to cover his child support, according to a police report.

When the woman spoke with Rhuda about payments, he allegedly told her to pay it off, because he wasn't going to.

Rhuda then told her to move out, and began throwing things around the house. He allegedly grabbed her hair and wrist and began pushing her around the room, the report said.

While she was being shoved, the woman told Rhuda, "you can pay for the abortion."

In response, Rhuda allegedly kneed her in between the legs, knocking her to the ground. He then struck the back of her head several times, the report said.

The woman then fought back and darted from the residence. She went first to the hospital, then immediately to the police station, the report said.

Officer authorized charges and Rhuda will be arrested when located.

Headline should be:

Once again, man loses.

WOW, so you condone domestic violence??

What an idiot !!!!

The Answer Person

I reread my post and don't see the phrase "condone domestic violence" anywhere in mine.
I have an idea. Please learn to read and absorb what is written rather than making it up as you go.
Have a nice Sunday!

By labeling or accusing the victim, others can see the victim as different from themselves. People reassure themselves by thinking, "Because I am not like her, because I do not do that, this would never happen to me." We need to help people understand that this is not a helpful reaction.

Idiot is being too kind... douche bag would be more appropriate

Abuse is a conscious choice made by the abuser. Abusers have a choice in how they react to their partner’s actions. Options besides abuse include: walking away, talking in the moment, respectfully explaining why an action is frustrating, breaking up, etc. Additionally, abuse is not about individual actions that incite the abuser to hurt his partner, but rather about the abuser’s feelings of entitlement to do whatever he wants to his partner.

you are generalizing and profiling women. you mention nothing about the man who is a jerk, not only for physically abusing her, but for expecting her to pay his child support (for some other woman's child most likely). the woman is not at fault here and you need to get your head out of your a**.

Mama K

What ever happened to taking responsibility for your own actions. I agree stupid woman get pregnant on purpose to use the baby as a weapon, however, it takes TWO. Be a responsible person, choose wisely who you decide to lay down with, knowing that a pregnancy is a consequence to the action of having sex. It sounds as if neither of these idiots deserve the privilege of having this baby. Shouting out you can pay for the abortion, does not sound like a loving protective mommy to me. That being said, he DID NOT have the right to put his hands on her, no matter how disgusting she is.

100% on point Mama K!

yea right

How bout this. A woman with 15 kids says after her b/f was arrested on drug charges "You are responsible for my kids. Now pay up" really. Tax payers already pay what more did she want. True story

knees her between the legs? knees her? the kid's not his. that's not how it works..

Yep, feel sorry for the child. Another monster created .

Erie County Resident

Don't usually agree with elimination but this one should be.
Then after that is done have both of these idiots neutered or spayed so it will never happen again to ANYONE they come in contact with.

Guess after you get beat up several times you just dont learn. i know this person and after 10+ times of being abused you should just be done but those who keep returning for more deserve it!! The kid she has she DONT take care of so yes it would be best in this case

Lack of Resources can force a woman back to an abusive relationship.
Through forced or self-imposed isolation, women lose many of their survival skills and cannot integrate into the mainstream of work without training. They are very unfamiliar with the many systems and agencies, they must interact with such as; employment, legal, medical, financial, and housing. THIS is what's having babies.

You see it all the time in stores and other places. Awful people with screwy kids that don't match.

They don't match the parents, they don't match the other kids... Siblings by circumstance.

Bottom Line

Yep that 47 percent

Mum you are absolutely right but she has plenty of resources...a friend of hers actually moved her out of state to get away....BUT she came back to that...not just once!!

Hey, she can get welfare , keep the babies coming, not....

There you go again

Unfortunately the US government has made it too easy to get welfare and other entitlements. When will it end?

From the Grave

Let 'em starve.

actually no, they haven't. but pregnant women can usually get help. some women, though, should really not have children and so far the government has not found a way to screen them.
