Sandusky police arrested a Sandusky man Saturday evening for stealing a motorcycle from the Margaritaville parking lot.

Officers arrested Walt A. Griffin, 42, of the 4800 block Bayshore Road, for theft after he was caught on video of a nearby store driving away on the motorcycle.

Area law enforcement were watching for the motorcycle for about an hour before Sandusky police found it abandoned in a field by Castalia Avenue in the area of Crystal Rock.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol found Griffin on Wahl Road and arrested him during a traffic stop.

To get the facts straight you need to read the reports correctly. The ECSO saw Walt on wahl rd. on the stolen HD. THE ECSO followed Walt though a field and the ECSO called OSHP for assistance. After ECSO and OSHP recovered the bike and arrested Walt, SPD responded to wahl rd. And took custody of Walt and the owner was given his baby back unharmed. C'mon SR!!!!!
