There you go again

Did Fred Fox think he could get away with all that? The Board Decision report was very eye-opening.

whazup

Sure he did. Kevin and John allowed and still defend it. Time for them to go, too.

good old boy

he should be able to get away with it, our football coach has ........

good old boy

Thats right, we must have differnt rules for others.

SoldOnAcorns

You are about as bad as blogger Julie R. b!tch!n about the same crap over and over and over....We get it already...You don't like the Coach, what he stands for and what he got away with over ten years ago. Sweet Jesus we get it....move along son !

Justme...

Did the football coach accept gifts from a vender? Steal two vacation days? Expense 7 days for a three day conference? Expense a rental car that went against board policy without prior approval? Attempt to intimidate board memebers and employees? Send X rated emails which are subject to public records requests?

mikel

let them fire you, sue them and take your money!

e-mails? really? if it is strictly against school policy then 98% of all teachers should be fired for using school e-mail capability for them own use.

SoldOnAcorns

And Freddie was responsible for making sure that this policy was adhered to by the school district...Oh wait a minute..Freddie is / was the enforcer of the e-mail policy and breaking the policy at the same time. Didn't he can a certain teacher / baseball coach for this very thing ??? Double standard you say ? I guess it would be difficult to write yourself up or fire yourself when you are the enforcer of the policy. Oh yeh I forget that is where the Board of Education comes in to play ! Bye ! Bye my sly little Fox !!!

nobodyfromnowhere

Then if this is so important why hasn't the interim superintendent taken any action based on the information produced in the course of this "investigation"? Isn't the interim the "enforcer" now since Fred Fox hasn't been in the office since summer 2012? Yet no subsequent actions regarding prior or subsequent violation of the e-mail policy has taken place against any employee or board member. Principal VonThron admitted under oath using the e-mail system to arrange for personal dinners after school hours. Could start right there no further investigation needed. Immediate firing is in order. Isn't it? That would only be fair. Wouldn't it? The Doctrine of Fundamental Fairness would require it. According to the Board majorities reasoning that is what must happen. I'm sure there is no way that her subordinates can respect her now since she violated the policy.

Disclaimer: The last 7 sentences of this post are meant in a sarcastic tone.

Sarcasm noted, motion denied :)

Whether it is right or wrong there are different rules that apply to a teacher (football coach) and a school superintendent.

I guess none of them realizes: either side, that this is far from over yet. Fox is out for sure, but now the court stuff starts and this Huron Melodrama will continue on and on ad nauseaum. Who do the citizens of Huron have to thank for that one? The BOE, who could have stopped this cold by sucking it up until 2014 and letting the contract run out. But that was just too easy to do. No...once their steal trap minds got made up, it was down the drain we go. I hope they have fat checkbooks over their in the Huron Board of Education they truly will need them after this mess. For all their complaints about "getting on with the business of the schools" their won't be much money left to do anything with when the attorneys bills start rolling in. What is the total damage thus far for smuggly being right? Over $150 thousand???? Wow, that buys a lot of books and equipment doesn't it? Teacher salaries, ancillary staff?

Some old, same old from the board. Lots of allegations and no proof. I like how they say the referee was wrong and Fox didn't prove that he didn't do what he was accused of. They ignore the fact that the burden of proof lies with the District not Fox and that he doesn't have to prove a thing. But they must prove their allegations by a preponderance of the evidence. The lawyers must have been jumping for joy with all the billable hours coming their way.

The dumbest part by the Board is they can't use the Ohio Ethics Commission report in court, even if it finds probable cause of violation. But if it comes back in Fox's favor he can introduce it. Just another poorly thought out strictly emotional move by the board majority that is going to come back and bite the school district.

Justme...

The proof is there...in the testimony and the emails. The referee chose to ignore it. So you are saying if the OEC finds an ethics viloation, that can't be used against him in his termination proceedings as further proof of the vioation? Where are you getting this information?

Tsu Dho Nimh

Probably from Mr. Asher...lol

Huron_1969

The Fox camp is sinking to all time lows ......

nobodyfromnowhere

What proof? There was contradictory testimony and the benefit of the doubt goes to the accused. The District also did not present evidence that met the burden of "Preponderance of The Evidence". That was the standard they had to meet, and they didn't come close. The referee didn't ignore it, he found other evidence to have more probative value thus he weighted that heavier in his decision. That is his job and he explained it in his report. My understanding is that this referee is quite good and, correct me if I'm wrong, has not been overturned on appeal. If so that does not bode well for the District.

Yes I am saying that. The courts decision is based on what was known to the Board and used as it's justification at the time of the boards action. Since the OEC hadn't ruled as of the time the board voted a subsequent decision can't be used. They can't come back later and try to use it after the fact. This is just another example of how this has been a rush to judgement, and incompetently mishandled by the board from the beginning. Had the board waited to take any action until after the OEC ruled then they could have used the report, assuming it found an ethics violation, as a basis for their action. This would have put them on much firmer legal ground. As I stated before how you do it is as important as what you do. This whole incident has been a text book example of how not to handle this kind of situation. This board has not done one thing correctly.

And the masters of this went on for 45 minutes last night. Have you ever, you know, noticed that when, you know, Mr. Caporini isn't, you know, telling the truth, he, you know, says you know alot?

There you go again

Well, USA has a commander-in-chief who, ahh, has a hard time, ahh, saying what, ahh, he means, ahh.

Hahaha ! Yep, he is not the most eloquent public speaker in the tri-county area that's for sure. I love to watch the Treasurer when his name comes up...he wanted to crawl into the orchestra pit a few times last night and sing koombyah !

Picture 37 of 52 cracks me up !
Treasurer: "Kev, did you eat chipotle for lunch bro ?"
Kev: Huh ?
John Cap: Did you guys here a duck ?

Tsu Dho Nimh

LOL...literally!

UgtaBkdnMe

Funny ! How about the treasurer's body language the entire meeting. He was rolling his eyes, making faces, slouching in his chair, covering his mouth and telling secrets to Kevin, just to name a few. Someone should look into terminating him.

The treasure knows he is on borrowed time in Huron. After all it was him and Fred that wanted Ms. Green to have a nervous breakdown or get her to quit the board. Those two wanted Ms. Green gone because she was digging to deep into all the corruption. It's about time that all the corruption is exposed. This has been going on for years at the expense of the Huron taxpayers. It all boils down to American greed.

It is time to go back ten years and to see how much corruption went on when Fox had Beula, Asher and Cap in his back pocket. You will then find how much of your tax dollars were abused.
