"Based upon the operation of RC 3319.01 and 3319.16, the requested document did not yet constitute records for purposes of RC 149.011 (G) and RC 149-43," a statement from the school district prepared by Lisa Pizza, an attorney with the law firm Spangler & Nathanson, explains.
Pizza refused to offer a further explanation, or one that makes sense.
She said the Sandusky Register is not her client; Huron Schools is her client.
She declined further comment.
The referee was expected to recommend a course of action for the school district regarding Fox's termination.
