Kyle Jennings, 25, was found outside of a house in the 4900 block of West Fremont Road around 10:30 a.m. with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Ottawa County deputies said.

Jennings was still alive when deputies, Port Clinton police officers. Bay Township firefighters and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrived at the scene, deputies said.

Officials closed down Ohio 53 so a medical helicopter could land and transport Jennings to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, deputies said.

On Sunday evening, hospital staff refused to provide Jenning’s medical condition.

Are you a cub reporter? It's a law... They won't give you his condition. So don't put the hospital on blast.

Simple Enough II

+1 for the name!

My son knows this kid or went to school with him anyway. Hope he's going to be okay. I'm surprised the name was published as the newsletter herald didn't publish it, but then again they don't publish too many names unless it's someone from out of town. Hospitals usually won't give out information, that's true but in this case I wish someone would give us a heads up. Praying for him!

Stop It

They used to ask 'who' was allowed to know and call or visit. Now it's all or none.

Interesting that the media is not questioning that the police are concluding that a self inflicted gun shot to the head is an attempted suicide.
