A resort guest set her purse down inside the facility’s bowling alley around 9 p.m. Friday. When she later returned, the bag was gone, according to a deputy’s report.

Among other valuables inside the bag were six credit cards. Deputies found one of the cards was used a short while later at the Shell gas station on Milan Road near Ohio 2, the report said.

Deputies gathered surveillance footage of the man who used the card, but were unable to identify him, Erie County detective Dennis Papineau said.

Papineau is asking the public for help in identifying the man.
