On Monday, the owner of a building in the 400 block of Scott St. was cleaning an apartment when he discovered a cavity in the ceiling, according to a Sandusky police report.

A ceiling fan and copper wires had been removed, and in their place was various pills and paraphernalia, the report said.

Three pill bottles were located, only one of which belonged to a former tenant. Also found were a Secret Jardin grow tent and a pack of rolling papers, the report said.

On Wednesday, cleaners hired by the landlord of a property in the 700 block of Rockwell St. uncovered a substantially larger stash in that home’s walls.

Cleaners uncovered 68 prescription pill bottles, two aspirin bottles and a few pairs of earrings from inside the walls, the report said. Both landlords said tenants were recently evicted from each home.
