Perkins Schools 6.73-mill, 10-year levy, with all precincts reporting, according to unofficial results:
I love it when someone calls someone else a moron and they can't even spell "you're" correctly. Ironic!
Exactly. Resorting to name calling too! Shows the level of intelligence.
And yet any supporter of the levy/this BOE gets called a "Gunner-bot" and that is supposed to be ok?
Name calling is not going to change my vote. It shows your lack of intelligence and that your distaste for other people's opinions. It is people like yourself that are so rigid and inflexible that need to change in order to move forward to the future. Sad, but true. Maybe you should stop insulting others and take a look in the mirrior. I can only imagine what you would see.
"All of us parents that use sports to keep our children occupied, off the streets."
Why don't you be a PARENT (instead of having coaches / teachers do it for you) and make sure that type of behavior doesn't take place.
^^Wow, what a great parent and shining example to your children. Nothing like getting on a public forum to essentially insinuate and advocate violence by your kids because someone else isn't paying for their sports.
Here's an idea, Lin. Pay your kid's pay-to-play fees, make a little certificate, wrap it up in a box, put a bow on it, and put it under the Christmas tree. That way, your kid can play and your holiday shopping is done, killing two birds with one stone. Also, you can give up Starbucks and cigarettes for a year, as Subtle seems to think that is the answer to offsetting higher taxes.
That's a good idea, Wald. Pay to play gift cards!
Starbucks and Cigarettes!! I forgot about that solution!
Only problem for me is that I never smoked and I don't drink coffee.
What should I do?
15th Green the reason why you don't know what the money is for is because your response to Mr. Gunner's letter was a Charlie Brown reference. Which sums up the maturity level of some bloggers.
If I was a member of the Vote No Community I would be embarrassed by some of these comments. A real show of character.
I read his letter and don't believe his message. Like everything else with this campaign. Get some real leadership going door to door and clarify the message....and then back it up! Can you answer the question? They will simply not get a blank check, Sean!
The Perkins School District levy is critical to providing ongoing quality education to the students of Perkins now and in the future. This levy addresses both the day-to-day operational costs necessary to run the district as well as a solid plan to renovate and or build new facilities all at a modest cost. Without the passage of this levy, additional reductions will make it more difficult for our students to have the education they need to be prepared for life in the 21st Century."
Too vague, Sean! $25 million for what? The district's campaign message is terrible!
Open enroll in Huron! Despite the controversy, we still passed our levy 3-1! We know how to support our kids!!
That and your choice of school board members (Green and Slocum) shows how ignorant the majority of people in Huron truly are.
Vote NO again! Chapman was re-elected. Nothing changes. VOTE NO!
Well Vote No it gives you another chance to make a classy tea bag reference down the road. Sean Cassidy
What is your obsession with tea bags? Excuse me, but your fellow yes voter brought up the reference. What is your obsession?
Oh well then it must be okay.
So you like it?
Kiss and make up....you two!!!
Wait a minute VOTENO!!!! In a previous post by you, Franklin and Ahner were going to win, move the mills back and put a smaller Levy on the ballot and you are magically reborn as VOTEYES. What happened to your plan? Still a NO voter, huh?! Sounds like the same ole sucker believing politics.
Transplant the troll!
I truly think you have me confused with someone else.
Maybe this defeat will show them that it isn't just families who don't have students within the schools who oppose the spending priorities of the BOE.
From the outside looking in, I hope that all of the NO voters do not go to any Perkins school functions. I don't know if the yes vote was better, but I would hope that the no voters don't support any of perkins athletics, choir, or band or anything. I just hope that now that the issue is resolved, and I mean voted on, that people stick to there guns. If you don't support the schools, don't step foot on the school grounds. And once you do vote yes, after another two years when your board members you don't like leave then go back to the schools. Until then, SHOW YOUR NO SUPPORT BY NOT GOING.
Not a good idea for the gate and concessions!
The NO voters already complain about the athletic field anyways.
Transplant the troll sticks her head up again.
Fairly confident you have me confused with someone else. I am not a her and if you saw me, you would not call me a troll.
Trolling is trolling.
Transplant starts off with "From the outside looking in". That's where I stop reading all of her posts.
