Let the voting begin

Ohio voters can now start casting early ballots for local races and issues for the May 7 election.

The state's top election official said Tuesday that voters in 74 counties will decide several local races and 355 local issues. Those local issues include 116 school issues and a number of local tax levies, bond issues and charter amendments.

Ohio law allows voters to cast early ballots in person or by mail before Election Day.

Monday is the deadline to register to vote for next month's election. Voters have until May 4 to request an absentee ballot by mail from their county board of elections.

Mostly back door levy voting. Berlin Milan School board member Jodi Harris mailed out early voting registrations to all the non home owners. My son got one in the mail but guess what i didnt. It encouraged him to vote for the upcoming berlin milan levy since it wont cost him anything. So underhanded. The register is not going to tell you that. They are for all the union backed money. They dont care about the people out there struggling to make it. they just want to keep the cash coming for their union friends.

Kelly

Good for them. I hope it passes.

John Harville

Hmmmm. Did you call the SR and tell them about the letters to people who won't pay the tax? It's doubtful anyone at the Register received the letters.

BTW.... look at the letter closely. Does it have:
1. A disclaimer like "paid for by _____________, xxxxxxxx, Treasurer."? If not, report it to the Board of Elections. It's required.
2. A union 'bug' indicating it's printed by a union printer.

SANDUSKY REGISTER TAKE NOTE: A member of the Berlin-Milan Board of Education is sending early voting registration letters to voters who don't own property. Have you checked on this with the Board of Elections?
RESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM... can you handle it?

Another Parent voting no here.

John Harville

KELLY... you might want to check on that Board member sending out registrations to make sure it's all done legally. A private citizen can do that .... a representative of the Board of Education cannot without stating who is paying. Could skew the entire election....

tiredofthecrap

yes we got them at our home too for our kids. We have educated them on the school levies so they wasted a stamp. Vote NO!

John Harville

tired... are you kids registered? If not, they can't vote on the issue. If you need those 'no' votes....

tiredofthecrap

Yes they have been registered. They voted no in the last election as well.
