Elliston native, singer, and American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox will thank volunteers and host a canvas kick off at the Obama for America Sandusky Office at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The event is part of the OFA-OH's Women Decide 2012 initiative. The office is at 218 Columbus Ave. in downtown Sandusky.

Well, I REALLY like Crystal Bowersox, but who she, or an other "celebrity" is voting for, means nothing to me. I'm voting for Romney because that's MY decision, NOT because some "celebrity" (who I doubt is any more intelligent than me) tells me to.
That's what everyone should do. Vote your choice! If there is a girl in the "6" why not make sure that at the proper age she will have complete control over her own body? Imagine that in a free society!

I know there are some people that use Gov. Assistance too much but I do think that there is a misconception out there that the majority of people do. I have seen how many people in low income situations live first hand and it is by no means a glamorous life style. Many of them do have jobs, and they are not ones you and I want. Such as working as a cook, cleaning hotel rooms, working at convenience stores, janitorial work, and yes they do get some sort of government assistance but I do not think most of them are happy with it. There are people that do game the system but the majority do not.
I want to see a way to give assistance to ONLY the people that need it and keep it out of the hands of the people that don't but I don't know how that is possible.
One of the Toledo TV channels did a story about her appearance. It looked like fewer than ten people were there. Like Obama's visit, it must have been by invitation only...very exclusive.
The Bizness, I saw the same TV clip, those 10 thought it was a free cheese giveaway.

I grew extra vegetables this summer and donated them. What have you done to contribute to your community, other than complain about the poor taking your money to buy food?
They need to get a job, or a seond job, or a third job and sell plasma like I did, and buy their own food.

What I see and have seen personaly is people in fancy leather coats driving high end cars buying food with EBT cards then going to the next register to pay for smokes with cash.
A friend owns a convieient store in Cleveland and there is a huge underground economy with people working for cash and living off my taxes receiving free food cads. Keep growing the vegies, it helps, maybe those you hand them too can till your garden, working for things is the nateral way you know.
