Erie County Health Department 0.2-mill renewal levy results

(UPDATED 1:30 a.m.)  Unofficial results show Erie County voters soundly supported a 0.2-mill renewal levy to help fund the health department's services and programs.

Of 27,733 ballots cast, about 59 percent were in favor of the levy. 

The collective breakdown was 16,592 in favor of the levy and 11,141 against it.

In Erie County the total was 15,725 for and 10,122 against.

The issue failed in Lorain County, but the collective opposition was not enough to sway the outcome in Erie County. Of the Lorain County voters who weighed in, 1,019 were against the levy and 867 supported it.
