John Jacobs, a retired GM employee who moved to Sandusky years ago from Buffalo, is running for city commission because he sees a need for the working class resident to be heard.
He has served on the city's charter review committee and Erie Huron Community Action Commission, and is active at New Jeruselum Baptist Church.
He and his wife are long-time foster parents.
