A Sandusky man went to a home in the 500 block of E. Market St. to pick up his brother at about 4:30 a.m. Friday, according to a Sandusky police report. When he arrived, the man dropped his set of keys on the ground.
He retrieved his keychain, but believed the car key must have fallen off at that point, the report said.
The man and his brother then went inside, but a short while later, his brother saw the headlights activate through a window, the report said. The man ran outside just as the car drove off.
Police were unable to locate it, and told him they’d list it as stolen in a crime database as soon as his mother contacted them, the report said.
