Police said the suspects fled in a small red vehicle, although the victim couldn’t determine the make or model of the car.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, told police he knew one of the suspects from a past encounter, but he didn’t know his name.

The victim said the suspects approached him in the 900 block of Maple Ave. at about 6:30 p.m., and one of the men brandished a small-caliber silver handgun.

They robbed him of $200 cash before fleeing north in their car.

Police are still investigating the incident. The victim was not injured.

Does "Knew one of the suspects from a past encounter" translate to "Sold drugs to one of the suspects previously" in hood-speak? Just curious. I don't mean to make light of the victim's situation - I'd offer him a gun to arm himself if I had one to spare. A dead robbery suspect doesn't repeat-offend...
