Kimberly Green, 38, 900 block Third St., was charged with vandalism and breaking and entering — both fifth-degree felonies.

Shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, a burglar alarm sounded at Marine Discounters, according to a Sandusky police report. Upon their arrival, officers found the business’s front glass door severely damaged and a cash register that appeared to have been tampered with, the report said.

An employee said the small amount of money kept in the cash register overnight was missing. The employee pulled surveillance video for officers to review, the report said. Officers recognized Green in the video, and she was arrested a short while later at an Ogontz Street home, the report said.

She remains in the Erie County jail on $20,000 bond.
