A Norwalk resident is jailed on a burglary charge after entering a home and crawling into a child's bed, according to a Norwalk police report.

James Clarke, 24, 100 block Benedict Ave., walked into the South Linwood Avenue home at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday. He entered the 13-year-old boy's bedroom waking him, and prompting a call to police.

Clarke then left the residence and was walking north when police stopped him, wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt as described by the boy's parents.

Clarke told police he thought he was in a friend's house, according to a police report.

Norwalk police arrested him for burglary.

He remains in the Huron County jail on a $15,000 bond.

Well this will give at least one child psychologist job security.

Darwin's choice

Honest officer, when i tried to wake him, he jumped up and ran into the door 10 or 12 times, hitting his face, and then jumped right through that 2nd floor window, hitting the porch below, and thats where the dog started biting the crap out of him. I don't know how he got a-1 sauce all over himself......

Good thing it wasn't my home....

Stop It

LOL...these comments. Go read the ones in the Norwalk paper. They seem to think he should be just slapped on the wrist for drinking too much and the home owner should be beaten for not locking his door (story does not mention if door was locked or not). This is the 2nd time in about 2 weeks this has happened (2 different guys, 2 different houses). Honestly I do not know how he is still standing or alive to have a mug shot taken.
