Anthony Santiago, 49, of the 1800 block of Superior St., was charged with aggravated menacing and voluntary intoxication.

Employees at Mickey Mart on Venice Road were familiar with Santiago from multiple past encounters, and they said he was always kind to them, according to a Sandusky police report. At about 9 p.m. Friday, however, their interaction was not quite as pleasant.

When a clerk asked Santiago to step aside after making a purchase and loitering in front of the counter, Santiago became upset and said, “You’re so (expletive) funny, you won’t think it’s funny when I blow your (expletive) head off,” the report said.

Santiago rounded up his purchase and left on foot. Another employee confirmed the story and agreed to send surveillance video and audio to police.

Officers caught up with Santiago about six blocks away, where he admitted to visiting the store, but denied making any threats, the report said.

He was arrested and taken to the Erie County jail.
