Sandusky officers received two reports of gunshots in the wee hours of Saturday morning, just minutes apart.

At 2:48 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Cleveland Road, outside of DJ's Sports Bar. A caller reported hearing seven, eight or nine shots fired.

When officers arrived, they saw two men fighting outside of the building, but were unsure if the shots were related.

They swept the area around the bar for evidence of fired shots, but did not locate casings or anything to indicate a weapon had been discharged.

Bystanders and one bar employee said they didn't hear anything that sounded liked shots and officers departed the area.

Six minutes later, at 2:54 a.m., a dispatcher received a second firearms complaint.

A caller reported two gunshots outside of an establishment in the 1500 block of Milan Road.

Again, officers scoured the area for evidence to support the complaint, but emerged empty-handed. A security guard said he did not hear any shots fired.

This place needs to be closed down! How many times a week does the place get visited by the police because the patrons can't control themselves!

I say keep it open, at least the police know where all the dregs of our society will be. Close it down and they'll scatter. Right now, they're all in one place.
