An Ottawa County grand jury has indicted a Port Clinton man on felony charges for fleeing a crash scene and leaving his injured passenger, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Harry Tommer III, 27, was indicted on two counts of failure to stop after a traffic accident and one count of aggravated vehicular assault.

Tommer was nowhere to be found when Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrived at the Feb. 14 crash scene on Three Mile Crossing, in Erie Township. The 1993 GMC Suburban was registered to him, and passenger Phillip Adkins, 36, of Port Clinton, was still in the front seat.

When troopers caught up to Tommer at his home the next day, he said he had no memory of the crash and didn’t know why he ran from the scene or how he got home. He has been issued a summons to appear in Ottawa County Common Pleas Court July 11.

An indictment is a formal charge and does not denote guilt or innocence. Others indicted:

* Richard Day, 22, Swanton, improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of criminal tools.

* Justin Luna, 24, Toledo, possession of criminal tools.

* Christopher Raker, 22, Whitehouse, possession of criminal tools.

* Matthew Piloseno, 22, Toledo, possession of criminal tools.

* Sabrina Webb, 36, 600 block Third St., two counts theft.

* Seth Damron, 22, last known address Oak Harbor, burglary, two counts attempted burglary, two counts possession of criminal tools.

*George Bice III, 24, first block N. Tettau Road, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

When this happened there were cops riding around looking for someone and shining lights in my yard and other yards. There was no story in the Port Clinton paper about it at all. There seldom is. There was a boat explosion but no story about it. We have to find out our news from the Register, the Blade, the police scanner or word of mouth. It's ridiculous.

FYI...these are exactly the same symptoms of forms of Epileptic Seizures. Perhaps this person does not know he is having them. That is exactly what happens.
