Racharde Brown, 31, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence. He was also cited for noise violations.
His passenger, Brittany Moldonado, 27, was charged with open container.
Police cruised by DJ’s Sports Bar at about 3:30 a.m. and heard thumping music so they pulled up next to a parked car and spotted a man and woman inside — Brown and Moldanado, a police report said.
“Racharde stated he and Brittany were just listening to music and was not aware that it was that loud,” the report said.
Noticing the keys were in the ignition, and smelling alcohol, officers asked Brown to step from the car. “Racharde was … having a difficult time keeping his balance and was swaying from side to side,” the report said. “Racharde stated he was not driving and did not want me to ‘ruin his night.’”
After Brown failed sobriety tests and registered a 0.339 percent blood alcohol concentration, police arrested him. They then turned their attention to the car, finding an open bottle of Bud Light at Moldonado’s feet. She admitted it was hers, the report said.
