The victim told police a white “Preval” or “Avol Group” box van was tailgating his vehicle as he pulled into his driveway at about 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of W. Strub Road.
As the victim got out of his vehicle, the box van drove into his neighbor’s yard and parked.
A “muscular,” white man in his 30s with short, dark hair jumped out screaming.
“The driver approached (the victim) grabbing him by the jacket in the chest area,” a Perkins police report said. “At this time the … van driver then picked (the victim) up and body slammed him onto the asphalt driveway.”
The victim landed on his head. Passing motorists spotted the incident and stopped to intervene.
The suspect then jumped back in the van and took off east on U.S. 6. Witnesses gave chase, but the suspect eventually got away.
When police arrived the victim bled freely from a cut to the back of the head and was rushed to Firelands Regional Medical Center.
There staff treated the victim’s cut. They also told him he had a broken hand and bruised ribs.

Maybe he was upset about the drop off and pick up situation at Furry.
How does one get from the 1300 block of W. Strub Rd to east bound Rt 6, easily?
It would/will be interesting to hear another side to this. Many have had an instance where an aged driver almost caused an accident then got irrate even though it was their error. Hope more comes out on this situation.

There is no other side. It stopped at the body slam which I doubt a 73 y/o has any means of defending himself against a 30 y/o unless there was a weapon of some sort. If there's no weapon on the part of the 73 y/o then Mr. Body slam should become Mr. Butt boy.

It's just so sad that some have no respect for the older generation. If anything happens to him... I truely hope the worst for the one involved and others who bless this behavior. Just sick and SO very sad.
This truly is sick!! I don't know what Perk said it's already been removed thank goodness but I'm sure whoever that is would be saying something totally different if it was their relative involved in this!! I hope your relative is going to be ok and whoever did this to them will be caught soon and brought to justice. How totally disgusting. This person definitely has anger issues. Sure,everyone gets annoyed at other drivers. Around this area I get annoyed daily. To get out of your vehicle and accost someone,especially an elderly man,is awful. This person needs some jail time and a therapist.

Lol at Perkins2060...anyway, I feel for this elderly gent., and this perp. needs to be found, and hanged....publicly, so we can watch him suffer as his eyes,... never mind.... I just hope the local L.E. has a lead and follows through...or more, that the courts set out to keep this d-bag away behind bars. If he was coming from 250 and strub, he'd been at a business on rt 250. Lets check all the businesses and deliveries from everyone. Someone knows who this is. White Van. I've heard they are witnesses that can identify him by face. Lets get him.
THERE WAS A MISPRINT IN THE PAPER. IT WAS THE 1300 BLOCK OF EAST STRUB ROAD. The suspect turned onto East Strub Road from Rt. 250.
