The 51-year-old woman went to an auction shop in Perry Plaza on Jan. 16, where she placed a bid on a box of books in hopes of finding material suitable for her grandchild, according to a Port Clinton police report.
When she later inspected the books, she found a cardboard cover to an adult pornographic DVD. Glued to the inside of the cardboard cover were about a dozen pornographic images, some of children, Port Clinton police Detective Corbin Carpenter said.
“She just found it inside a book while she was leafing through it,” Carpenter said. “She was pretty upset.”
The photos appear decades old, he said, and the seller had no idea the material was in the box.
