The donation of the 2003 International Tractor and 53’ Refrigerated Utility Trailer expands Second Harvest’s fleet from four box trucks to the first-ever semi-tractor and trailer for the organization. Second Harvest serves more than 100 hunger-relief agencies throughout Crawford, Erie, Huron and Lorain counties.
As the area’s largest hunger-relief organization, Second Harvest plays an integral role in meeting the needs of families at risk for hunger. Second Harvest secures and distributes about 8 million pounds of food and grocery products annually and works in partnership with hunger-relief agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, afterschool programs, BackPack Programs and Kids Cafes.

Firelands has been ranked in the top 5 percent in the nation for spine surgery, and among the top 10 percent in the nation for vascular surgery outcomes as well as was named Best in the Region (Northern Ohio). Firelands was also a Five-Star Recipient for Hip Fracture Treatment.
