Local dentists Dr. Lata Stefano and Dr. Patricia Sharp of Lata Stefano, DDS, in Sandusky, donated $4,460 to Kinship, Inc. and Heartbeat of Sandusky as a result of the efforts of their office in the Smiles for Life Whitening Program.

Earlier this year, Stefano and Sharp invited their patients and members of the community to whiten their teeth for a reduced price with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charity. They raised $9,910 for the National Smiles for Life Program and committed almost half of that to local Sandusky charities. For more information, go to  .

The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children’s charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of leading-edge dentists throughout North America.

During the four-month campaign, Stefano, Sharp and team, raised $9, 910. Half of the funds raised were contributed to Heartbeat and Kinship for use right in the Sandusky community. The other half of the funds goes to the Smiles for Life Foundation to be distributed to worthy and approved children’s charities across the U.S. and Canada.

Participating charities includes Children’s Miracle Network, Children of Romania, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, CURE (in Cambodia), Smiles for Hope, and the Kids Cancer Care Foundation. I love it when my local dentist raises money for radical Christian-fascist organizations.

I have great admiration for the philanthropic and volunteer work that Dr. Stefano and Dr. Sharp do for this community.

I am proud to be a patient of theirs. I have been going to that office for many years, even when it was Dr. Johnson's. Drs. Stefano and Sharp (and their staff!) are friendly, wonderful, and have done a lot to upgrade their office as well as raise money for charity.
