Explosion rocks Boston Marathon

Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the chaos. Bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners.
Associated Press

Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.

About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another thunderous explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

Runner Laura McLean of Toronto said she heard two explosions outside the medical tent.

"There are people who are really, really bloody," McLean said. "They were pulling them into the medical tent."

Cherie Falgoust was waiting for her husband, who was running the race.

"I was expecting my husband any minute," she said. "I don't know what this building is ... it just blew. Just a big bomb, a loud boom, and then glass everywhere. Something hit my head. I don't know what it was. I just ducked."

The dead included an 8-year-old boy, according to a law enforcement source who was briefed on the investigation."

You know, I'm against abortion, but it is a woman's right. Just as it is your right to give an opinion about it. But every single time I get on here, and I don't comment very often, you are abortion thumping. You're worse than the friggin bible thumpers and Jehovah's witnesses that come through our neighborhood. And I'm religious, I have faith.

I would not get an abortion unless medically necessary. There are such cases, my mother had to go through one. I know people who have gotten an abortion because that's what they felt was right at the time. But because they made that choice, does not mean they should be condemned.

This article isn't about the choice to abort. This is about a terrible "terrorist" attack. Take your ignorance somewhere else.

I watched a man being wheeled in a chair w/ another man beside him holding what was left of his leg.

The reporters didn't want to say bomb, or terrist attack at the time, even though, we all know it is.

I have a distinct feeling as co-ordinated ( takes months to plan this kind of attack ) as this is, it's some kind of homegrown backyard terrorists with ties to some mid eastern crap through maybe even North Korea. I'm sure those idiots are dancing in the streets to see the terror and carnage in yet, more US streets.

Those rotten bastards!!

EZOB

My prayers go out to the Fallen. Was the Assault Weapon a Mini-Gun with a 100 round magazine? Not serious but they'll probably figure out some way to blame assault weapons. Just maybe some more time could have been spent on tracking bombs and bomb making devices instead of taking away rights of legal "Americans". We are pretty safe where we live at the moment but I wouldn't care to be in D.C., N.Y., or any part of the crazy Northeast. They have their targets well thought out and they are not stupid.

John Harville

...and what good would it have done if 50 people in the crowd were so armed? Would they have shot the guy with a black nylon backpack? Or the guy with the cellphone detonator (assuming there was one)?
Would the bomber(s) have been shot by such a gun/magazine.
In fact.... what good would "a good man with a gun" have accomplished?
What makes you think 'we are pretty safe where we live....'? Fools paradise? Talk to Andy Dunn's wife.

just to name a few..... don't take my word for it....do some research on false flags world wide.
My question is, when the smoke clears who are we going to go to war with over this?

Retired 27-year CIA analyst Ray McGovern, who prepared and presented Presidential Daily Briefs and served as a high-level analyst for several presidents, stated that if there was another major attack in the U.S., it would lead to martial law. He went on to say:

"We have to be careful, if somebody does this kind of provocation – big violent explosions of some kind – we have to not take the word of the masters there in Washington that this was some terrorist event because it could well be a provocation allowing them, or seemingly to allow them to get what they want."

The former CIA analyst would not put it past the government to "play fast and loose" with terror alerts and warnings and even terrorist events in order to rally people behind the flag.

General Tommy Franks stated that if another terrorist attack occurs in the United States "the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government." Former UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter stated before the Iraq war started that there were no weapons of mass destruction. He is now saying that he would not rule out staged government terror by the U.S. government. And British Parliament Member George Galloway stated that "there is a very real danger" that the American government will stage a false flag terror attack in order to justify war against Iran and to gain complete control domestically.

John Harville

False Flagger...
In October in a Sandusky doctor's waiting room, two intense men explained to me in detail how there would be no election. How Obama was going to pass a 2006 law created by Bush to declare marshal law and suspend the election.
They also went into detail about the base for UN planes/helicopters being built in Port Clinton and landing at PC Air Strip. "That big new building" brought all the forces together - Port Authority, etc. - to be in position to work with the UN troops to take control of the government and declare Obama dictator.
Hmmmm November 2012 has come and gone.
Now they're going to use Mom's pressure cooker to take over the country?
Yet when Border Patrol detained a group of teens last summer, only the Hispanic (born and reared in Sandusky) was taken until he could 'show papers'. Two of the teens were exchange students from Europe - but no one asked for their papers.
Secure that border! The teens will overthrow us.

coasterfan

How interesting that the same people who railed against Obama for his initial press conference about Benghazi are the same ones who are griping about him taking a more cautious approach this time, by waiting until accurate information is in. My 2nd question to them is: where was their outrage over the equally horrible Newtown shootings? I'm guessing it's because they don't have a problem with a little NRA-endorsed domestic terrorism.

arnmcrmn

You really can't be that ignorant.....oh wait...yep, you are.

John Harville

Yep armn... you are that ignorant. I can feel the bliss exuding from you post.
Three of tens of thousands are killed and 170 more injured... an obvious act of terrorism.
20 children in a school of 350 are killed and more injured... not a terrorist attack...
Won't restrict gun registration... but just wait for the Republican bill outlawing pressure cookers.

"Boston marathon runner Alastair Stevenson says that before the explosions erupted at the Boston Marathon this morning, he was told by police over the loud speaker that bomb squads and bomb sniffing dogs were part of a ‘training exercise’."

How did all of those bomb sniffing dogs miss those bombs? I have read that ball bearings were being removed from the wounds. Could this have been a bomb training exercise? Perhaps someone within the FBI, CIA and other agencies knows the truth of who was responsible for this bomb tragedy. I have read that other unexploded bombs have been found. Will have to wait and see for the true facts to come out.

Now we have Al-Qaeda running all over the place.

bullydogs1971

You mean this Al-Qaeda??

The US government trained, armed, funded and supported Osama bin Laden and his followers in Afghanistan during the cold war. With a huge investment of $3,000,000,000 (three billion US dollars), the CIA effectively created and nurtured bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network using American tax-payers money. Afghanistan is one of the world's poorest countries, where such an enormous sum sum of money would have had extraordinary value.

BBC news article:
"...Bin Laden left Saudi Arabia in 1979 to fight
against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The
Afghan jihad was backed with American dollars
and had the blessing of the governments of Saudi
Arabia and Pakistan. He received security
training from the CIA itself."

Forbes business information service article:
"...[Osama bin Laden] received military and
financial assistance from the intelligence services
of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United States."

http://www.forbes.com/charitable...

ABC News article:
"In the 1980s, bin Laden left his comfortable
Saudi home for Afghanistan to participate in the
Afghan jihad, or holy war, against the invading
forces of the Soviet Union - a cause that,
ironically, the United States funded, pouring
$3 billion into the Afghan resistance via the CIA."

http://www.globalresearch.ca/um-...
"University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines."

I find it odd that the dogs and police missed the bombs inside of the black nylon bags. There are many unanswered questions. Perhaps some of the spectators saw the bags and thought that they were part of the bomb exercises? The FBI should be requesting photos of these bags before they exploded. With so many cell phones and cameras out there, somebody may have the photos of these black nylon bags before they exploded or some person carrying such a bag in the area.

sash

Not sure if you've seen this morning's news, but bomb was in a pressure cooker. Those things are airtight by design, so I doubt there was anything for the dogs to sniff. The authorities have been asking for any video or photos taken by people in the area. Hopefully, they'll get a good lead.
