The BGSU Firelands College Theatre program enters its 42nd consecutive season with the fall production of the musical revue "The Melody Lingers On: The Songs of Irving Berlin," Nov. 5-8.

All productions are directed and designed by BGSU faculty.

All auditions are open to BGSU students and area residents.

Productions are performed in the McBride Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands campus.

Theatre students and other volunteers work on stage and behind the scenes in all areas of crew work. The theater technical shops are fully operational and directed by BGSU Firelands faculty and staff members.

BGSU Firelands College Theatre produces a fall show and a spring show, and it also assists in the Caryl Crane Children's Theatre fall and spring productions.

Performance and technical theater classes are available to interested students in fall and spring terms.

A student organization, Speech Activities Organization-Theatre, provides outlets for students to get involved in theater activities and other service-oriented activities around the campus.

Productions at BGSU Firelands College Theatre have been diverse in its 41-year history.

Classical plays, contemporary plays, historical plays, full-scale musicals, musical revues, Readers' Theatre performances and staged readings of poetic and narrative works have all been included, both for the educational value for students and for the entertainment of patrons.
