The story of Jim Kimberlin epitomizes the struggles of many Northeast Ohioans who are awaiting a life-saving organ transplant. Organ donation and transplantation truly is the gift of life, however, we are experiencing a crucial shortage in the number of organs available for transplant.

We live in an era where nearly 100,000 Americans are waiting for the life saving organ transplant and 18 die every day because an organ is not available in time. Everyone has the opportunity to safe a live -by registering to become an organ and tissue donor on the Ohio Donor Registry. Registering is easy:

• Say "yes" to donation at the BMV when renewing your drivers license.

• Register on-line at www.lifeanc.org

• Call LifeBanc at 216-752-LIFE and ask for an enrollment form to be mailed to your home.

This simple action can save up to eight lives and improve the lives of more than 50 others. This holiday, give the most precious gift of all, the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
