I understand the government wants to ban trans fat from food sold to the public. I think this is a complete violation of our rights as Americans.

This is the land of the free, isn't it?

They want to ban trans fat because of its known health risks, but there are a ton of other risks that are much worse than trans fat, such as cigarettes.

They just don't seem to understand that most people know about the risks of eating trans fat, so they limit the amount they eat.

Of course, this would be a lot easier if restaurants labeled how much trans fat is in their food.

We can make our own choices, we can eat what we want to eat. Products containing trans fat should be allowed to be sold to the public.
