Sandusky man stabbed, police say group argued about gangs

A drinking party on Hayes Avenue got out of hand late Monday night when Tyson J. Conway, 25, apparently got into an argument about gangs, police said.

Conway, 200 block Sheffield Way, ended up being stabbed three times by a kitchen knife in his chest and on his right hand.

He was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center while five people from the 900 block Hayes Ave. home were arrested by police. Several were charged with underage drinking, while Christopher Stanford, 43, 1200 block Ashburn Drive, was charged with felonious assault. He remains in the Erie County jail.
