Huron gets tricked, kids get treated

Storm troopers, bumblebees, and witches.
Dogs dressed up and pumpkins, everywhere.
It must be Halloween.
Armed with bags of every kind and plastic jack-o-lanterns in every color, costumed or not, Huron trick-or-treaters tromped across neighborhoods collecting their goodies Sunday night.
Amie Swope and her  niece, Emma Graves, 11,  were ready for as many as 300 beggars in the Old Plat neighborhood.
They manned the porch while Swope’s husband and two sons made their rounds, their yellow lab Max in tow getting as much enjoyment out of squirrel sightings as the tiniest children with full loads of candy.
No matter how she plans, Swope said she’s always gotten too much or too little candy in the 10 years they’ve lived on Center Street.
“It’s fun. I like to see all the costumes,” she said, complimenting the werewolves and Minnie Mouses who came to her door.
Her nephew, Will Graves, 8, sported a glow-in-the-dark skeleton costume, mask and all.
His favorite part of Halloween?
The inevitable answer: the candy!
Emma said she may be outgrowing Halloween, but she still decked out in an all-black vampire costume, hooded cape and all.
Anyone who missed early trick-or-treat events this weekend can still catch one today.
Sandusky’s starts at 5 p.m.  Norwalk, Vermilion, Port Clinton and others start at 6 p.m.

When parents put babies, their only child, in a stroller and go begging for candy, what's wrong with this picture?
