LETTER: Forgive the thief

We own a small construction company. We have worked hard in order to buy all of our equipment.

On a recent morning, when my husband went to work, he found out that his trailer had been broken into and about $3,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

It is very discouraging as this is not the first time this has happened, and after talking with our insurance company, we found the equipment is not covered, so we are at a loss.

I believe as a Christian i was forgiven so that i can forgive. It hurts to have things like this happen. We are told to do good to those who hate us, turn the other cheek, give to everyone who begs from us, not to demand back goods taken from us and do unto others as we would have done to us.

We would just like to tell the person who did this, that we forgive you and we are praying for you.
