I would like to thank your paper for presenting both sides of the health care debate.

After reading the position of the writer who supports the new health care law, I clearly understand why liberals have no respect for the rule of law and the Constitution. There are many activities that all of us as individuals should engage into to make our lives, our communities lives and our countries lives better. However, does that give our government the right to turn those activities into laws? What is the purpose of our Constitution? Is it not to limit the scope and size of our government? I have asked all of my liberal friends about this and none of them have ever responded to me.

Where in the Constitution can I find the right for our government to force us to enter into a specific form of commerce? Be not mistaken, this health care law is soft tyranny.

Let this law stand and we will be giving up some of our liberties and freedoms as citizens. I don't care how good the idea is or how altruistic it may sound, that is never an excuse for us to submit to tyranny and forego our liberties.
