Erin Go Braugh. Mardi Bra. Big Bazooka Bra. Enough said.
Year after year, Bras for a Cause heaps on the creativity for its annual contest to raise money for a good cause — cancer research and providing assistance for patients and their families.
This year is no different: A cornucopia of bras will be on display all weekend at the entrance to Sandusky Mall, where folks can pay $1 to vote for their favorite creation.
“They never run out of ideas,” event coordinator Joanne Hubbard said. “Some are spending a lot of money and time on them.”
Winners will be announced Nov. 2 at Girls’ Night Out, hosted at Kalahari Resort. The top vote-getters will receive cash prizes of $400, $200 or $100.
A silent auction of the decorated bras will follow, with proceeds benefiting Cancer Services, Firelands Regional Medical Center Cancer Program Fund, Fisher-Titus Mammography Fund and North Coast Cancer Foundation.
