Sunday, March 21, 2010, was one of the worst days in our country's history. This health care reform bill is nothing more than a direct assault on our liberty in this country. The Democratic bill is going to force us to buy insurance or face a fine. This is unconstitutional, because we have never been required to buy a good or service in this country. I have heard people use the argument about the requirement of having car insurance. We only have to have car insurance if we own a car. It is not a requirement to own a car in this country. We are literally going to be taxed for being alive.

I agree that our health care system is not perfect, but is there a perfect system for anything? Most countries with socialized health care pay very high taxes. Our imperfect system was still the best health care system in the world. Why ruin a good system for such a small minority of people who don't have health care? Many of the people in this number can afford it, but choose not to have it. How many of these people are illegal immigrants?

All the Democrats who voted in favor of this bill should be ashamed of themselves. Ashamed because they put their own agendas ahead of those who they work for. The majority of the people in this country were not in favor of this. If this process had been done the right way, not with all the back room deals and Chicago-style politics, this would never have passed.

Finally I want to tell all my fellow conservatives to keep fighting the good fight. We must get out and vote and fire all those who have stood for tyranny instead of liberty!
