I go to Sandusky High School. I am 17 years old and in the 11th grade. I understand that they are debating to tear down Battery Park for new development.

I think that it is great to have new development. It will supply more jobs and will give people in our community more options for activities. This may help our school systems out from taxes, etc.

Sandusky has only a couple things we can do better than everyone else: Bowling, Cedar Point (which is only open six months), and Castaway Bay. I think Perkins is beating us when it comes to activities.

I think if kids in Sandusky had more to do the crime rate will go down. This will also bring downtown back alive which is what we have been trying to do for the longest time. This will give the tourists something to do other than Cedar Point when they come. Then we can say how good Sandusky is. If that development starts getting a lot of attraction, then more business developers downtown the downtown will be alive again. So downtown will be a place to go instead of Perkins all the time. This will make the whole area a better place to live
