I believe that the overall project concerning the marina district is good, but only if the result will not include people losing their homes and/or businesses in that area. While I like the fact the City of Sandusky is trying to improve its poor downtown, I don’t agree with people losing homes and businesses when the city no doubt says it is all in the way of eminent domain. If carried out, it will bring people to an area of town that is in constant need of people to spend money. The condos and new convention center will be nice, but not at the expense of taking people’s homes. In my opinion, you let people whose homes are at risk of being destroyed be the first to have an opportunity for a new place to stay. If they all agree, go for it. If not, scratch it or move around them.
