As a senior at Sandusky High School, and recently having heard about the marina project and the idea of adding recreational activities and a building project to help better the downtown Sandusky area, I feel it’s a great idea. Building a recreational center and bringing businesses to the downtown area can bring more success and diversity along with bringing back the younger generation. Most of us kids are deciding to leave Sandusky because we feel there is nothing here.

Bringing a recreational facility and business-type buildings to the downtown area can attract more people and allows those of the newer generation to return with their children. Knowing there will be something to actually do, more younger generations will continue to prosper to this area. With the businesses that could come in, more jobs will become available and more people will have a chance to accept more income.

Expanding our city by allowing both business and recreation to come into the process gives our city a better outcome in the future. It can help bring our city to a more advanced and healthful society, along with allowing our citizens to establish communication with our commissioners and city staff. I feel this project offers our community the best chance of change for the better. This change not only will affect our children, but our grandchildren and our community. We all should consider this project as a great one.
