I couldn’t agree more with Mr. Koonce. Sandusky schools are in trouble. It wasn’t until my 13 year old son, who recently attended junior high in Sandusky, burst into tears about his troubles in school that I realized this. He spoke of the unruliness in the hallways before, during and after school. He spoke of teachers feeling frustrated by the lack of respect the students showed for a place of learning.
And when I told him I was going to talk to the principal he said, “Why bother”. He feared retaliation for his finger pointing and knew the problem was much deeper. Does the problem exist because of the teachers and administrators or is it because of the lack of proper parenting?
