Like the great and mighty empires of the past, superpowers that once stretched from horizon to horizon, America is heading down the road to ruin.

English historian Edward Gibbon, in his classic “The History of the Decline and fall of the Roman Empire” (ironically published in the year America’s Founding Fathers declared independence from Great Britain), theorized that Rome fell because it rotted from within. It surrendered to barbarian invasions because of a loss of goodness and morality. Its citizens became lazy and soft. America is following in the tragic footsteps of Rome. The economic success and historical military prowess of the United States has transformed a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles of right and wrong into an overindulgent, self-deprecating, immoral cesspool of depravity. Also beware of multiculturalism. During the deadliest war of the deadly 20th century, the term “multicultural” emerged as an substitute to nationalism — the insistence that one nation was superior to all others. The word multicultural advocated coexistence. In the United States, after World War ll, multicultural disappeared until the culture wars of the 1980s and 1990s, when it re-emerged. Liberals began voicing their dream of the United States as a multicultural country, one with diverse peoples and cultures drawn from all over the world. Instead of seeing the country as a melting pot, a single American way of life, with one language, English. But no, the liberals wanted diversity. They also began to expand the definition of culture to include gender and lifestyle, so that multicultural could mean respect for sexual orientations.

Without strong, moral leadership, without a sense of purpose, without a rededication to God, family and community, without stopping the race hustlers and sleaze pop-culture artists, without protecting borders, language and culture, the nation that once was “the land of the free and home of the brave” and the one last best hope of mankind will repeat the catastrophic mistakes of the past. And America cannot have victory against militant Islam, whether across the ocean or within its own borders, until it confronts the threat here by the other war, being waged against its own traditions and culture. Liberal stupidity in our defenses, the result of liberal cultural rot, means we virtually ask for another attack. Without prayers in school (1962), with abortions on demand (1972) and millions of illegal aliens flooding our country we are doomed.
