Sandusky officials want community members to attend a 5 p.m. Sept. 8 meeting to provide input for transit services.

During the meeting, scheduled to take place at City Hall at 222 Meigs St., officials plan on submitting a grant to subsidize funding for transit operations.

Before doing so, however, they'll ask residents what improvements they would like for transit operations.

"The city of Sandusky invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private and paratransit operators, including taxi operators," according to a release.

Sandusky Transit is the area's leading public transportation service, providing rides to people in and around Sandusky, Perkins Township, Huron and elsewhere.
