The Holy Assumption Orthodox Church held its annual Halupki Festival on Sunday. The festival is held yearly the third Sunday in August. It is a fund raising for the Orthodox Church to pay for all the necessities needed each year. The Church is very small and has only 31 adult members. This year henna tattoo art was a new addition to the festival. There were plenty of fresh baked goods for sale along with several arts and crafts tents. A huge tent was set up for the ever popular Polka dancing. The festival also served their popular Halupki (cabbage rolls), beer, sausage, and pierogies.
